About Me

My name is Audrey Gordon, and I am ridiculously passionate about music and teaching! I've played piano nearly my entire life, and remember being envious of my older siblings who were taking piano lessons. When I was teaching myself songs at the age of 4, my mom decided to finally started me on my own lessons, which I took all throughout my youth (thank you, Mom!). I have piano training in classical techniques, as well as contemporary, pop, and ragtime genres. Before attending college, I taught private piano lessons for three years to children ranging from age 3 to 15. I then studied music at Brigham Young University-Idaho, among other subjects: ballroom dance, event planning, and family studies. While there, I taught social dance for three semesters to  groups of 40 young adults, ages of 18-30. My husband also shares a strong love of music with me, and singing in a collegiate choir together was how we met!

As a musician, my experience in piano, violin, and voice provide me a unique and well-rounded approach to music education. I've enjoyed teaching in various capacities for over a decade. Currently, I am growing in the education role of a mother as we raise our beautiful 2 year-old daughter. This has helped me to become even more patient, and more intentional in prioritizing when to teach, and when to let the child lead the way with their own passion and excitement for learning.

I have a strong desire to guide our rising generation, and foster their appreciation for music through engaging and personalized piano lessons. I cannot wait to work with you!
